CONVENTION 2010

The next convention will take place on April 28th and 29th, 2010. The event to be held at Mont-Tremblant has been moved to Montreal, Mont-Royal Center. This convention will gather around 300 professionals from the Quebec Film and Television production industry. Producers, distributors, retailers, government agencies, professional associations, funding agencies and other business partners will be invited to attend the opening night on April 28th, followed by a day of round tables and conferences on the 29th. CONVENTION 2009
The APFTQ convention was held at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel in Gatineau May 4th and 5th, 2009. The annual event was attended by 250 members of the Quebec film and television industry.

CONVENTION 2008
The APFTQ convention took place on April 28-30, 2008 , at the Hilton Hotel in Quebec City .Over 300 producers, broadcasters, distributors, government agencies, professional associations, funding organizations and other business partners gathered for the opening event on April 28. The following day was devoted to panel discussions and guest speakers.
Opening night showcased «Le Magicien de Kaboul», a touching documentary film directed by Philippe Baylacq and coproduced by InformAction and the National Film Board. The audience appreciated the dynamic opening conference given by Max Valiquette from Youthography. The round table on three very different VSD portals; Vodeo, from France, Heavy , from the U.S. and Canoë from Quebec provoked many reactions, namely because of the low cost paid for the contents and the profitability challenge these activities tend to pose.
CONVENTION 2007
The APFTQ convention was held at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau from May 2 to 4. This annual event was attended by members of the Quebec film and television industry as well as other business partners to the opening event on May 2, followed by a full day of panels and lectures on May 3.
CONVENTION 2006
The APFTQ 2006 annual convention was held in Quebec City at the Loews Le Concorde Hotel on May 10, 11 and 12. More than 300 professionals from Quebec's film and television industry attended as well as producers, distributors, government agencies, professional associations, financing organizations and other business partners. The Minister of Canadian Heritage and the Minister of Culture and Communications were also present.

2005 CONVENTION
At the APFTQ 2005 onvention a great number of producers, distributors, representatives from government agencies, from professional associations, fromfinancing organizations and other business partners participated to a full day of panels and lectures. Subjects discussed centered on world television trends, exports, product placement as well as documentary and feature films.

2004 CONVENTION
The APFTQ held its annual Convention from May 4 to 6, in Quebec city, in the presence of nearly 300 professionals from Quebec's film and television industry. A record of attendance! The convention began on the evening of May 4, with a special projection of Monica, la Mitraille, at the Musée national des Beaux-Arts de Québec. Several distinguished guests were present, among which the Deputyminister of the Culture and Communications Department, the Mayor of Quebec city and many other members of Parliament.
Open to industry partners, the day of May 5 offered several debates and round tables on varied subjects. Mrs. Paule Beaugrand-Champagne and Monique Jérôme-Forget respectively spoke at the dinner and the supper. On the morning of May 6, Mrs. Hélène Chalifour-Scherrer came to meet the members of the APFTQ and delivered a very firm message of support to the industry.
2003 CONVENTION
Close to 250 professionals attended the annual APFTQ convention on April 24-25 in Sainte-Adèle. Producers, broadcasters and funding agency, professional association and service provider representatives were on hand for panel discussions and conferences. In addition to the scheduled topics (consumers trends, the latest in TV audience measurement, piracy, giant screen format), the Canadian Television Fund crisis was discussed at great length. Comedian Pierre Verville livened up the evening with a tailor-made act, and guests whiled away the night on the dance floor to the music of Célébration.
2002 CONVENTION
The annual APFTQ convention took place May 1-2 at Sainte-Adèle’s Chantecler Hotel. The event drew some 300 participants, including a hundred members and numerous industry partners. The broadcasters were out in force, along with representatives of funding agencies, professional associations, unions and professional and technical service providers. Attendees included Diane Lemieux, Minister of State for Culture and Communications, Richard Stursberg, Executive Director of Telefilm Canada, and Pierre Lafleur, President, SODEC, as well as broadcast executives Michèle Fortin, Vice-President, French Television, Radio-Canada, Raynald Brière, President and CEO, TVA, René Guimond, President, TQS, Pierre Roy, President and CEO, Chaînes Télé-Astral, Paule Beaugrand-Champagne, President and CEO, Télé-Quebec, Michel Fortier, Acting President, TV5 Quebec-Canada, and program directors from various networks.
