Quebec is the first or second-largest coproducing Canadian province, depending on the year of production. In 2008, Quebec companies accounted for $190 million in international coproductions, 47% of all budgets involving Canada. Quebec’s expertise in this field has long been recognized, for productions in English as well as in French.
