NATIONAL
The APFTQ represents and defends the interests of its members with governments and film- and television-related organizations, both federal and provincial. It intervenes on their behalf on financing and taxation matters, all aspects of funding programs, and laws and regulations that affect the industry.
INTERNATIONAL
The APFTQ also intervenes on international issues such as coproduction, copyright and cultural diversity. We participate in coproduction mixed commissions and sit on the board of Horizon Québec, which operates a group stand at the principal international television markets. The APFTQ is a member of Canada’s Coalition for Cultural Diversity.
MEDIA
The APFTQ is frequently present in the media, publishes an annual economic profile of the industry and organizes an annual convention that brings together the industry’s key players.
